ArcTangent Dance is a professional dance company based in Silicon Valley that strives to challenge the conventional wisdoms of our beloved medium, dance. We aim to create work that not only facilitates empathy between humans through unique audience experiences, but also provide exhilarating modes of expression for our movement artists through performances, community outreach, and online platforms.

Founder and Artistic Director Arielle Cole was born and raised in the Bay Area. She holds a BFA and MFA in Dance from SUNY Buffalo and Mills College respectively. While at Mills, Arielle discovered a love for screendance and immersive, site-specific performance. Post graduation, she continues to research unconventional performance spaces while democratizing the audience experience.
