Information for Current SAFEhouse Artists
This page includes information relevant to artists who are currently in residence at SAFEhouse Arts. If you would like to apply to a residency, please check out our Current Applications Page. If you have any questions, please reach out to jesse@safehousearts.org
SAFEhouse Arts is proud to continue to offer its residencies to artists free of charge as they always have. However, we do encourage artists, who are able, to contribute an optional registration fee to help us continue Saving Art From Extinction.
We will update our artist contracts for 2026. Performance Agreements are separate from Rehearsal Agreements. Rehearsal space is available in exchange for volunteer hours. If you are unable to volunteer, we also offer discounted rental rates to our artist. Below are sample agreements. You must submit an application and attend an orientation to receive an official agreement.
Email jesse@safehousearts.org if you have any questions.
In order to be paid, artists must fill out a W9 to be paid as an independent contractor. Completed forms should be printed and subimtted in person or emailed to jesse@safehousearts.org
If you are a current artist and you need to reserve rehearsal space, please take a look at the google calendar below and email jesse@safehousearts.org to request an available time.
Please check your orientation packet for when your program information is due. Typically 2 weeks prior to your show. If you do not submit program info within the timeframe, we will use the information provided in your application form.
If you have an upcoming show, you are required to fill out a tech form at least two weeks in advance of your show date. The earlier the better! The sooner we know what your tech requests are, the better we can support you. REMINDER: Glitter and feathers are NOT ALLOWED AT ANY TIME.
